平均每天走数小时山路去上学，
中午只能以冰冷的红薯土豆或者喝自来水充饥，
长期的营养不良导致他们身材矮小，智力发育迟缓。
据国务院调查报告显示我国：中西部贫困地区，寄宿儿童营养摄入严重不足。12％发育迟缓，72％上课有饥饿感，男女体重比全国农村学生轻10公斤和7公斤，身高低11厘米和9厘米。
They need a lunch.
On average, they walk several hours to go to school.
At noon, they can only eat cold sweet potatoes and drink tap water.
Long-term malnutrition led to their short stature and mental retardation.
According to investigation by the Chinese State Council, the nutritional intake of boarding children in poor areas of the central and western regions is seriously insufficient.
12% of them is mentally retarded, 72% of them feels hungry during class, they are 10 kg and 7 kg lighter than the average rural students in China, and 11 cm and 9 cm shorter.
2011年4月2日，邓飞联合500名记者、国内数十家主流媒体和中国社会福利基金会发起免费午餐基金公募计划，倡议每天捐赠3元（由于物价上涨，自2015年秋季学期起餐标提升为4元/餐），帮助孩子们免于课间饥饿，享有热腾腾的免费午餐。截至2019年12月底，免费午餐基金共计募捐金额 60546万元，累计在全国26个省市自治区开餐1275所学校，累计惠及人数超过33万人。
On April 2nd, 2011, Deng Fei, together with 500 journalists, dozens of domestic mainstream media and the China Social Welfare Foundation to launch a free lunch for children fund public fund-raising plan. Proposing to donate 3 yuan a day（With prices going up so fast 2015.the standard price has been raised to 4 RMB per meal since Fall semester）to help children avoid hunger during class and enjoy hot delicious free lunch. By the end of May 2019, Free Lunch for Children had raised RMB 605.46 million, and found its presence in 1275 schools, across 26 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, benefiting over 330 thousand children.

我们的原则： 免费午餐基金运营实行年度预决算制下的总监负责制；免费午餐基金捐助学校运营遵循以下原则：师生同食、就地取材、透明公开、村校联合。为确保每一笔善款善用，免费午餐要求学校开通微博，每日公开收支信息，稽核团队暗访突查，同时请当地政府、媒体、学生家长、党员、老干部、退伍军人等乡村力量及无所不在的爱心网友一起参与开餐监管。

Our Strategies: Develop a safe and efficient Free Lunch mode that can be replicated to other areas; abide by the principle of transparency; make professional services available to the government, enterprises, public interest organizations and individual donators and constantly facilitate public policies. In order to ensure that every donations is used well, Free Lunch requires the school open accounts at Weibo,and which tweets daily public revenue and expenditure information to the public. And audit team secretly visits the investigation, and invites the local government, media, parents, party members, veteran cadres, veterans and other rural forces and netizen of omnipresent love to participate for front-line supervision.
